What is yoga therapy?

We luckily live in a time where we can all find the right way to approach our mental health…

For some it is talking therapy, Art therapy, music therapy or drama therapy. Others it may be martial Arts, joining a sports team or swimming. There is a way we feel most inclined to heal and deal with the past and stresses of the future.

I was very fortunate to study under Heather Mason founded of the Minded institute. She has lead the way for yoga as an option for mental health within the NHS and truly believes in the power of yoga to improve every life.

Yoga therapy is a mind body practices that involves a myriad of different exercises such as asanas, mindfulness, meditation, breathwork and philosophies. Every yoga therapy journey is different with goals and sometimes lifestyle changes to improve our physical and mental health to give us the best experience of life possible.
