Yoga Therapy is a bottom up approach to promote physiological change. In short, when we improve the way the systems of our body function using yogic tools such as coherent breathing, mindfulness and movement our mental health improves as a result.
Private Yoga sessions
You want to build strength? Improve posture? de-stress? support an injury? All yoga is therapeutic in my eyes but sometimes we just want to get on our mat and move just for how good it feels.
I take on one to one clients exploring all aspects of yoga helping you to move forward with a lifelong practice.
Individual Yoga Therapy
My yoga therapy clients have come to me over the past 10 years with all sorts of presenting issues.
Whether it is Anxiety, depression, menopause, eating disorder, stress and fatigue or you are living with Cancer. I build the sessions and trajectory around your needs and wants, discussing as we go along.
I offer a safe and confidential space for you or your loved ones where the relationship we build can be a base of support whilst using yoga as the tools to rebuild.
Vinyasa Flow classes
I love teaching dynamic vinyasa flow, if you need a boost then come along to one of my classes. My main aim is to bring joy, some laughter and peace by the end. Slow therapeutic flow is my other love, a chance to rest the body and mind whilst flowing through gentler movements.
I take on small arranged groups and couples by request.
Hi, I’m Rachel.
The day I walked into my first yoga class everything changed. I new instantly this was what i had been missing. Late nights were swapped for early mornings and as I pieced myself back together I felt my body, mind (and quite frankly, Soul) coming back to life.
After completing my first 200hr Teacher training in 2016 I wanted to go further with yoga as therapy, realising the impact it had had on my mental heath. I completed my 2yr 550hr Yoga therapy teacher training in 2018 at the Minded Institute, London.
The past 5 years I have lived in India and Thailand with my family where I have learnt a lot about my practice, myself and how our family systems and community impact us day to day. We now live in Frome, Somerset and are settling into the community here.
I have worked predominantly with young women with Anxiety Disorders such as Eating disorders, Anxiety and general overwhelm through private London clinics and private online classes.
Other work includes working with Vulnerable and trafficked women, people living with Cancer and Parkinsons and those grieving the loss of someone close.
Since becoming a mother whilst also approaching 40 have a huge passion for supporting other women through the motherhood stage of Matrescence and later on menopause.
